Even when I look back and ponder on my own 2023 year, despite a fragile economy, inflation and receding currency, I’m proud to share that I did tick quite a number of big and small goals.
There are still a fair number of very important goals that I had set at the start of 2023, but am yet to achieve.

I remember when I set the goal of hosting a global conference in South Africa in 2023. This was going to be the first time that I would host any conference outside my home country, Kenya. As I journeyed towards the conference date, around me were daunting voices pushing back, telling me I was being ‘ambitious’, that we ‘didn’t have enough time’, that I ‘should postpone it’.
But I didn’t… I refused to quit on my goal. And in August we hosted our first ever global conference in Sandton, Johannesburg.
